Sea of Thieves Achievements unlocking now

Sea of Thieves Achievements are now unlocking in-game, but with a catch: newly earned Achievements are unlocking, but those earned previously do not appear to be as yet.

This writer has unlocked Achievements for Gold Hoarder quest level progression and having the full wind at his sail, though Achievements from last week, such as emoting with another player on the Barge of the Dead and drinking at the tavern with your crew, are still locked.

“We are storing all awarded achievements, and are working to deliver these for all affected players. There is some groundwork in the patch arriving [today] that enables us to then deliver the delayed achievements via a service-side change, but ETA on this is a little loose whilst we work on the plan. We are hoping to enable this by the end of the week, and will share more information soon,” is what Rare said of Achievements earlier this week, so hopefully that comes to pass soon.

Are you playing Sea of Thieves? Have you been able to unlock Achievements from the last few weeks without earning them again?

Sea of Thieves is available on Windows PC and Xbox One.
