Xbox Series X ports include USB-A, one HDMI, says new report

Update: A new Twitter account has posted two images which seem to corroborate this report. They are below.

Original story: In the aftermath of a false Xbox Series X render that showed it had USB-C and 2 HDMI ports, a new report by Thurrott says it knows what ports the actual next-gen console will ship with.

Thurrott’s Brad Sams has confirmed with with “several insiders” that the back of the Xbox Series X will sport 2 superspeed USB-A ports, a single HDMI port, an Ethernet port, an optical audio port and a power connection.

Another port is on the back of current versions of the console, though most of the insiders agree it’s for debugging purposes and won’t be included on a retail Xbox Series X.

Microsoft has chosen not to comment on Xbox Series X ports at this time. We’ll have more information as it becomes available.
