Xbox Game Pass family plan may soon be on offer: report

Microsoft hits back after Sony's new PlayStation Plus announcement?

An Xbox Game Pass family plan program may soon be on offer, a new report from Windows Central alleges.

The outlet doesn’t detail how it has come across the information, but says a higher price point will be attached to the subscription service’s family plan and offer up access to five players in total.

That means each account connected to the family plan would be able to download and play Xbox Game Pass games and access perks on any Xbox console. At present, a subscriber can offer Xbox Game Pass titles to others providing the others play on the original account holder’s home console.

It’s unclear if an Xbox Game Pass family plan would be offered as a separate subscription tier or bundled inside Xbox Game Pass Ultimate; in the case of the latter, it’s unclear if family plan benefits would also extend to PC Game Pass.

We’ll have more for you as it’s announced.
