Star Wars Maverick reveal could come as early as this week

Star Wars Maverick reveal could come this week, rumours suggest.

The possibility of a reveal comes as Maverick developer Motive Montreal has joined Twitter, stating is is “excited to be joining on social platforms to share on who we are, and the work we do.”

“Really, we couldn’t imagine a better time to start connecting with everyone online,” Motive’s tweet continued.

The tweet was quickly picked up by Bloomberg’s Jason Schreier, who commented, “looks like someone’s getting ready to announce a new game.” VentureBeat’s Jeff Grubb tweeted a picture of Tom Cruise as Maverick as Top Gun, later adding, “I’ll just say that June 3 is June 4 in Japan.”

If that latter tweet doesn’t make sense, it’s because Grubb believed the Sony PS5 game reveal to take place on 3 June at the time. We now know that’s actually scheduled for 4 June (for 5 June in Australia). Others believe that Maverick will be part of the EA Play livestream currently scheduled for 12 June.

We’ll keep you posted as more on Star Wars Maverick is known. Maverick first popped up on the PlayStation Store in early March 2020.
