PSN ID username changes reportedly possible soon

PlayStation Network users will soon be able to change their username, a new report (again) suggests.

According to Kotaku, four separate sources have stated the functionality is coming soon, and that the groundwork for this was established in the PS4’s 6.0 update.

One source shared a photo that shows internal Sony documentation that details an “edit username” button.

Back at PlayStation Experience 2017, Sony’s Shawn Layden told Kinda Funny’s Greg Miller that “you won’t have to ask me that question next PSX,” when asked about the functionality. Since then, Layden has confirmed that there won’t be a PlayStation Experience 2018 — so maybe we’ll be waiting for this functionality for another full year?

We’ll have more on the matter as information is made available. Do you have a PSN ID you’re keen to change? Tell us about it in the comments below!
