Microsoft is working on a new Xbox Elite Controller

Microsoft is hard at work on a new Xbox Elite Controller, according to several reports.

New details via Baidu back up earlier reports from Reddit about the second-generation Elite Controller. The reports allege that the controller will include Bluetooth for easy connection to a PC, a USB-C wired connection, an Apple MagSafe-like charging connector to protect from cable pulls and a built-in, chargeable battery.

Moreover, the controller is alleged to have three-level hair trigger locks (as opposed to the current Elite’s two) and new handgrips. A three-profile switch also bests the two-profile switch offered on the current model.

Microsoft hasn’t made comment on the rumours. We’ll have more on the new Elite as it’s known (or potentially leaked).

What do you make of the new controller? Meanwhile, the current Elite’s pretty good — we reviewed it here.
