Microsoft to announce new acquisition at E3 2021: report

According to a Discord chat transcript, at least.

Microsoft will likely announce new studio and IP acquisitions at E3 2021, rumours today suggest.

This set of rumours come from Twitter’s Idle Sloth, who supplied Discord screenshots involving Windows Central journalist Jez Corden.

“I have good, very good, rumours that MS has acquired some IP yes,” Corden wrote. “But the ones I’ve heard about are not like… AAA-hype level stuff. And, they may in fact be part of a studio acquisition.

“I think there’s a very good chance of at least one acquisition being announced at the show,” he continued.

A joint Microsoft and Bethesda E3 2021 press conference is currently scheduled for 3.00 am AEST on 14 June. You can also check out our E3 2021 Hub here, or here for a listing of all E3 2021 events in Australian times.
