Gears 5 release date, cover art leaked by Taiwanese ratings site

The Gears 5 release date and cover art have likely been leaked by the Taiwanese classification board ahead of a proper reveal by Microsoft.

The site (via Generacion Xbox), which has also listed a Ghostbusters: The Video Game Remastered release of late, suggests we’ll see Gears 5 on 10 September. Alongside the potential release date was a potential game cover, shown above.

As Microsoft hasn’t confirmed these details, we’re not ready to fully pull the trigger on the legitimacy of the site’s claims. Nevertheless, interesting stuff.

We’ll likely hear more of Gears 5 at Microsoft’s E3 2019 press conference — that takes place at 6.00 am AEST on 10 June. A full list of E3 2019 press conferences can be found here.
