Microsoft have hinted at the inclusion of an online component for Rise of the Tomb Raider, despite earlier reports that dedicated multiplayer had been cut. In a recent statement provided to VideoGamer.com Microsoft noted that the game would include a way for players to “extend their single-player campaign and compete with their friends.”
Tomb Raider featured a bunch of competitive online multiplayer modes that have apparently been left out of the sequel. Could some kind of time attack or score based system be coming to Rise of the Tomb Raider instead?
Microsoft have said they’ll release more info “In the coming weeks and months”, so I guess we’ll just have to wait and see.
