Returnal delayed until April 2021

More time for polish is needed.

Returnal, the PS5 exclusive from Housemarque, has been delayed until late April 2021.

“Update: Returnal has a new release date of April 30, 2021,” Sony advised via Twitter.

“[Sony Interactive Entertainment] and Housemarque have made the decision to move the release date in order to give the team extra time to continue to polish the game to the level of quality players expect from Housemarque,” the update continued.

The sci-fi shooter — something remarkably different than Housemarque’s previous, arcade-like titles, was originally scheduled for a 31 March 2021 release.

Returnal now heads to PS5 on 30 April 2021. You can check out a gameplay trailer for the shooter below.
