Remedy provides updates on Control 2, Max Payne remakes and more

Solid gold.

Remedy has provided updates on Control 2Max Payne remakes and two other multiplayer-focused titles.

First, Control 2 is “in the proof-of-concept stage,” according to Remedy.

“The plans for this sequel are ambitious, and we have seen good progress both in the designs and in the game build,” Remedy continued, as part of an earnings update. “We will continue at this stage for the next few quarters. We focus on proving the identified key elements before moving to the next stage and scaling up the team.”

Meanwhile, Max Payne 1 & 2 remakes are currently in “production readiness stage,” according to Remedy.

“We have gained clarity on the style and scope of the game, and we have an exceptionally well-organized team working on it,” the studio continued. “With these accomplishments, we are excited about the project and its future success.”

Next up is Condor, a co-op multiplayer title set in the Control universe. According to Remedy, the title “has progressed from the proof-of-concept to the production readiness stage”.

Finally, a games-as-a-service outing codenamed Vanguardmade in partnership with Tencent, is in production; Remedy is “aiming towards completing the proof-of-concept stage by the end of the year”.

Remedy has, of course, just released Alan Wake 2 on PC and consoles.
