Red Dead Redemption 2 Xbox One file size is 90GB

The Red Dead Redemption 2 Xbox One file size has been confirmed at 90GB, Rockstar and Microsoft have recently confirmed.

Weeks after the revelation that the PS4 needs 105GB of free space to install, Red Dead Redemption 2‘s Microsoft Store listing has been updated to reveal its “approximate size” of 88.57GB. It’s unclear if this is the game’s final installed size, or if the installation packed will uncompress files, causing a larger footprint. Moreover, it’s not clear how the PS4’s 30-day exclusive content will impact file sizes.

We’ll keep you informed as we learn more — there’s not long left before the game’s release!

Red Dead Redemption 2 heads to Xbox One and PS4 on 26 October. We previewed the game here.
