ReCore price discrepancy: $80 AUD on the Xbox Store, $50 AUD at EB Games

Australian pricing for ReCore seems to be all over the shop, with the Xbox Store listing the upcoming title digitally for $80 AUD, and retailer EB Games offering its disc-based version for $50 AUD.

The title is listed at $40 USD on both the American Xbox Store and EB Games’ sister retailer, GameStop USA.

We’ve gone to Xbox Australia seeking clarification on the game’s pricing, though it’s looking more and more like ReCore is being classified as a budget title. Developed by Comcept, the team behind the failing Mighty No. 9, that might make the upcoming title a tad unappealing to customers…

ReCore heads to Windows PC and Xbox One from 13 September. It’ll possess a rather innovative colour blind mode as it relies quite heavily upon colour for core mechanics.

Update: A Microsoft representative has confirmed with Stevivor that ReCore will have a recommended retail price of $49.95 AUD. We’ve been told this price will soon be updated on the Australian Xbox Store; the current price was said to be a placeholder.
