Ratchet & Clank Rift Apart coming in PS5 “launch window”, new gameplay shown

Ratchet & Clank Rift Apart was shown off in detail at Gamescom alongside a confirmation the title would arrive in the PS5 “launch window”.

The video, below, contains over seven minutes of gameplay, with silky smooth animations, zero loading screens and some amazingly vibrant colours.

“Ratchet and Clank find themselves at odds with their archnemesis, Dr. Nefarious,” Sony and Insomniac said, introducing the gameplay. “Only this time, he’s equipped with the dangerous Dimensionator, a device with the power to travel to other dimensions. The duo fights their way through an army of hired Goons in Megalopolis until something happens and they are ripped apart. Where are they now?”

While a specific date has not yet been confirmed, it’s likely we’ll see Rift Apart closer to 2021 rather than in November 2020. We’ll of course keep you posted as we learn more.

Ratchet & Clank Rift Apart is a PS5 exclusive.
