PUBG Xbox One gets better frame rates with disabled game capture

PUBG on Xbox One seems to offer better frame rates when on-console game capture is disabled.

Numerous reports from Reddit seem to confirm that turning off game capture makes the game far more stable — not that it’s very stable, managing to hit just under 30 frames per second on both Xbox One and Xbox One X both.

If you’re keen to give the trick a try, here’s what to do:

  • Hit the Guide button.
  • Go to the Broadcast and Capture section.
  • Enter Advanced Settings
  • Untick Allow broadcast and game captures.

You’ll have to do the same to re-tick captures if desired. Hopefully this is a short-term workaround, eh?

PUBG is available in early access on both Windows PC and Xbox One. The console version finally received local Oceania servers last night.
