PUBG on PS4: Bluehole is “in talks” with Sony to make it so

PUBG on PS4 isn’t as unlikely as you’d expect — developer Bluehole has confirmed it is “in talks” with Sony to make it happen.

Bloomberg confirmed the news in a recent profile of Brendan Greene, Playerunknown’s Battlegrounds‘ creator, saying Bluehole is speaking with all console makers to bring the game to more than just Xbox One and Windows PC.

“[Bluehole’s] Chang [Byung-gyu] says his company has had talks with all of the major console companies about bringing PUBG to a broader audience,” Bloomberg wrote. Byung-gyu owns 20% of Bluehole.

“Microsoft Corp. will launch the title exclusively on Xbox later this year. Bluehole is in talks with Sony about introducing a version for the PlayStation after that,” Bloomberg continued.

Playerunknown’s Battlegrounds is currently available on Windows PC, and heads to Xbox One later in the year. We’ll let you know when we learn more of PUBG on PS4.

If you’re itching for battle royale-style console play, don’t forget that the free-to-play Fortnite: Battle Royale is now available on Windows PC, Xbox One and PS4.
