PlayStation Player Celebration event will net you some cool rewards

The PlayStation Player Celebration is now on, offering a host of rewards just for playing PS4 games, Sony has confirmed.

Players can sign up for the event now, then are tasked to play PS4 games and earn Trophies in order to hit a community-wide goal from 24 February.

“Trophies you earn in any game you play are counted – and multiplayer game Trophies count as double (up to a limit of six Trophies per day),” Sony advised.

As the community hits communal targets, we’ll all earn exclusive themes and avatars. There are three stages as part of the event:

  • Stage One: 125,000 games played, 500,000 Trophies earned
  • Stage Two: 375,000 games played, 1,500,000 Trophies earned
  • Stage Three: 675,000 games played, 2,700,000 Trophies earned

Those who participate will also have the chance to earn a special prize that include a real-life Platinum Trophy, a $145 PlayStation Store voucher and PS4 games. To enter that grand prize draw, you’ll need to answer a skill-based question on 18 March.
