PlayStation Communities: Sony splits up another console service into a separate mobile app

Sony today advised that the PlayStation Communities app will soon be available on iOS and Android.

The app, one that makes “it easy to stay in touch with your fellow PS4 gamers while away from the console”, should be available later in the day.

The Communities app joins the core PlayStation app and the PlayStation Messages app on both iOS and Android.

Meanwhile, the singular Microsoft Xbox app, also available on mobile platforms, has recently been updated to include its new Clubs feature.

Do you prefer separate apps for console functionality, or would you prefer it all together in the one app?
