Koei Tecmo has released a bevy of information relating to upcoming strategy title Nobunaga’s Ambition: Sphere of Influence due for release on PC, PS3 and PS4 this year.
Being a historical strategy game, battles are of course the key to success. Players can command vast armies made up of one or multiple regiments in order to defeat enemy lords who are attacking settlements in order to increase their sphere of influence and wealth.
During battle, players can take a bird’s eye view in order to play with a more holistic approach or can zoom in to control individual units to victory. Playing from a bird’s eye view allows opens up the whole battlefield with multiple battlefront’s and skirmishes, whereas playing zoomed in means players can potentially play as the army’s Grand Commander. Doing so allows for the use of Traits and Tactics.
Traits are passive abilities that come into effect whenever the officer is present in battle. Tactics are special abilities that can be used to create status effects on either their army or the enemy’s.
Nobunaga’s Ambition: Sphere of Influence will be available for PC, PS3 and PS4 in September.
