New PlayStation Plus USA has over 800 games, 60Hz NTSC Classics

No slow PAL for you, Americans!

The new, tiered PlayStation Plus has launched in the USA and offers up a library of over 800 titles. Better yet, those in America have received 60Hz NTSC versions of PlayStation Classics rather than the slower, 50Hz PAL offerings found in Asian regions.

The PlayStation Plus USA offering includes 400 PS4 and PS5 games in the Extra tier or above, alongside another 460 games from PSone, PSP, PS2 and PS3 in the Premium tier.

PS3 titles, of course, have to be streamed from the cloud.

Alongside a day of Resident Evil news from the Capcom ShowcaseResident Evil Director’s Cut (PSone) is available through the service as a PlayStation Classic. I’m personally jazzed for that as I bought the original PSone Classic and that means I’ll regain access to it when PlayStation Plus comes to Australia on 22 June, regardless of my subscription level.
