There's always XX...
Don’t expect Monster Hunter World on Nintendo Switch anytime soon, as Capcom has confirmed it’s too “difficult” to port to the console.
“We recognise that there is such demand,” Capcom President Haruhiro Tsujimoto said in an interview with Toyo Keizei (as translated by Google). “However, considering various conditions, now it is difficult to put out Monster Hunter World for the Switch.”
“The Switch is different from other stationary machines both in functions and users,” he continued. “Each game machine has its own characteristics, and our software maker needs to make software adapted to it. How to adapt game titles possessed by our company, including Monster Hunter, is to be studied in the future.”
Tsujimoto added that Monster Hunter XX is available on Switch in Japan for those looking to scratch an itch.
Monster Hunter: World is currently available on Windows PC, Xbox One and PS4.
