Minecraft Dungeons 2 announced, heading to all major platforms

Aaaand that's about all we know.

Minecraft Dungeons 2 was announced at Minecraft Live over the weekend, and is planned for release on PC and all major consoles.

“This is an all-new action-RPG adventure where you’ll take on high-stakes encounters, thrilling challenges, and explore never-before-seen locations in the Minecraft universe,” Microsoft said of the sequel.

“Of course, there will also be loot! Loads of it. Grab it all, or share with up to three friends as you co-operate to save a world in crisis.”

I called the first Minecraft Dungeons “good, but not great,” adding, “but hey, I don’t like Minecraft and I’m not a huge fan of dungeon crawlers. Maybe you are, and maybe you’ll get far more out of [it] than I am.”

With Microsoft promising to “share more news soon,” Minecraft Dungeons 2 has been confirmed for Windows PC via Steam and the Microsoft Store alongside Xbox Series S, Xbox Series X, PS5, and Switch 2.
