Microsoft is ready for cross-platform play

ID@Xbox European head Agostino Simonetta says Microsoft is ready for cross-platform play.

“Absolutely, we’re ready,” Simonetta said to Eurogamer at EGX Rezzed recently.

“Any title that wants to update their game to include cross-network play, any title that wants to launch soon and take advantage of that, we are ready.”

Developer Psyonix says Rocket League is primed and ready to be a cross-platform title across Windows PC, Xbox One and PS4. While Microsoft seems ready to go, Sony seems a little more reluctant.

We’ll have more on cross-platform play as it becomes available.
