No Man’s Sky is an infinite, procedurally generated universe exploration game

In development at independent studio Hellogames, No Man’s Sky will debut first on PS4.

A first person exploration title, No Man’s Sky features an infinite, procedurally generated universe which players can explore and discover. Set in the first person players explore planets and the space in between and as they discover new locations they’ll be registered as the discoverer of that specific location. When other players discover the same locations, they’ll see who has been their first.

It appeared as though there was no loading between flying through space and entering the planet’s surface providing a seamless experience. According to the developer everybody will start on a new planet and start exploring on their own. Hellogames also admitted that it doesn’t even know how big the gameworld is or what exactly is out there for people to find.

No Man’s Sky will be on PS4.
