Joseph Staten leaves Microsoft entirely

The man in charge of fixing Halo Infinite first left 343.

Joseph Staten has left Microsoft entirely, following an announcement that he’d departed Halo Infinite developer 343 Industries.

“Hey folks, I am indeed leaving Microsoft,” Staten wrote on Twitter.

“I’ll have more info to share soon,” he continued, “but for now, I’d just like to thank all my [Xbox] colleagues for all their understanding and support as I embark on a new adventure.”

Staten originally worked on the first Halo games at Bungie. He stuck around at Microsoft and has assisted with titles including Crackdown 3 and ReCore.

“We’re grateful for Joseph’s contributions to the Halo franchise and Xbox as a whole,” a Microsoft representative said in regards to the developer. “We wish him all the best in his new adventure.”

We’ll let you know what Staten gets up to next when announcements are made.
