Here’s Horizon Forbidden West running on a PS4 Pro

Horizon Forbidden West developer Guerrilla Games has taken to the PlayStation Blog to show off the title running on a PS4 Pro as opposed to a PS5.

The PS4 Pro gameplay comes in the from of three large gifs, all embedded below. If you’re checking them out, make sure to toggle on HD for the full(est) effect.

Horizon Forbidden West will release on PS4, PS4 Pro and the current-gen PS5; with the latter in high demand and usually sold out at stores, there’s a fair chance that you’ll need to play Guerrilla’s latest on whatever console you can get your hands on. While it appears to be running alright on PS4 Pro (though it’s still argueably hard to tell from three gifs), we’re still unsure as to how the title will perform on a base PS4.

What do you make of the gameplay shown above?

Horizon Forbidden West heads to PS4 and PS5 on 18 February 2022.  A free upgrade path from PS4 to PS5 will be offered by Sony.
