Halo Wars 1 & 2 free this weekend for Xbox Live Gold subscribers

Both Halo Wars 1 & 2 are free-to-play this weekend for Xbox Live Gold subscribers.

Gold members can play both Halo Wars: Definitive Edition and Halo Wars 2 for free from now until 6.59 pm AEDT on Monday, 25 February across both Xbox One and Windows PC (the games are both part of the Xbox Play Anywhere program). Pretty sweet deal, eh?

You can queue both — or either game — up for download here. Be aware that Halo Wars: Definitive Edition is currently part of the Xbox Game Pass program, so those subscribers can obviously keep playing the title past this weekend.

Both titles will also be on sale after the freeplay period; progress will carry over into the main game if a purchase is made.

Have a great weekend!
