Halo Infinite BTB issues persist despite recent hotfix

343 Industries is looking into disabling associated challenges.

Halo Infinite BTB issues are sadly persisting despite a hotfix intended to address problems that was deployed earlier in the week.

BTB, or Big Team Battle, is an Infinite mode that puts twelve players against another team of twelve players. Matchmaking issues inside the mode began to occur before the holiday break at the end of 2021.

Taking to Twitter, 343’s Brian Jarrard admitted that the “BTB hotfix does not appear to be the outcome we expected. There are minor improvements, but overall matchmaking issues are still occurring. Thanks to the folks who have been working hard and we’re sorry this didn’t quite get the job done. Work continues.”

Jarrard also confirmed that 343 will be investigating how to turn off BTB-focused challenges as part of Infinite‘s Battle Pass system while issues persist.

Halo Infinite is now live on Windows PC, Xbox One, Xbox Series S and Xbox Series X.
