Halo Infinite Battle Royale mode suggested by leaked audio

Interesting...

Halo Infinite Battle Royale mode is likely after audio files found within the game’s recent technical test suggest one.

Quite literally: a datamined audio clip found on ResetEra is just the words “battle royale”.

While that’s admittedly not a lot to go on — the words could be pieced together, don’t forget — some fans are salivating at the idea of a Battle Royale within the popular sci-fi shooter.

Rumours of a Halo Infinite Battle Royale first circulated back in August 2020. Developer 343 Industries immediately quashed those rumours, saying, “the only BR we’re interested in is Battle Rifle.”

We’ll keep you informed as we learn more. It’s also unclear if this reference was one of the spoilers that 343 admitted accidentally made its way into the technical test.

Halo Infinite heads to Windows PC, Xbox One, Xbox Series S & X and Xbox Cloud Gaming later this year, part of Xbox Game Pass. We recorded gameplay from its technical test across Xbox One, Xbox Series S & X and Windows PC here.
