God of War will run in “up to 60FPS” on PS5

God of War will run in “up to 60FPS” on PS5 using a performance-favoured mode, Sony Santa Monica has confirmed.

Whether you’re picking up the game for the first time or looking to finish that NG+ save, God of War (2018) on the [PS5] will offer: Up to 60 FPS using the ‘Favor Performance’ video option [and] Save Transfers – start right where you left off on the PS4,” the developer said on Twitter.

It’s assumed the up to 60FPS mode will leverage the PS5’s Game Boost functionality, adding some of the next-gen console’s power to last-gen titles. Sucker Punch’s Ghost of Tsushima will also run in 60FPS using the tech.

The PS5 heads to store shelves on 12 November. God of War is part of a special PlayStation Plus Collection bundle available to subscribers.
