Forza Motorsport revamps car progression system

And it's available now.

Forza Motorsport has a new car progression system, thanks to a new update.

“With the changes coming to Car Progression in Forza Motorsport Update 6, you will have the freedom to equip the parts you want to install on your car regardless of Car Level,” Turn 10 said in a developer update.

“The first change is to remove the level restriction on performance parts, making them all available at Car Level 1,” Turn 10 continued. “This allows players to install parts in any order they wish, regardless of Car Level. Whether it’s engine swaps, race tires, or body kits, you will have the freedom to build cars your way.”

Players will also be able to use in-game credits to buy Car Points “at a ratio of 4,500 Credits for 500 Car Points,” meaning players can essentially use in-game cash to upgrade cars if so desired.

The update, available today, also contains a number of bug fixes and the like.

We saw some flaws in Forza Motorsport at launch, but I still recommended it “if you’re a bonafide car person”. The title also took home our Best Sports Game of 2023 award.

Forza Motorsport is available on Windows PC via Steam and the Microsoft Store, Xbox Series S, Xbox Series X, and Xbox Cloud Gaming.
