Forza Horizon 4 stops new content in the race to Horizon 5

Instead, we'll get a "mixtape" of past content.

Forza Horizon 4 will stop new content and cars in the lead up to Forza Horizon 5 in November, Playground Games has recently confirmed.

“With Forza Horizon 5’s release being our priority over the next few months, we’ve made some changes to Forza Horizon 4’s monthly series update,” Senior Producer Tom Butcher said in a recent update.

“Starting with Series update 38, players who know the game well will start to see the return of content from Series 7 to 32,” he continued. “Think of it a bit like a mixtape, featuring the return of some of your favorite content combined with recently added new features.”

Butcher also confirmed that Playground Games will not be adding new cars or game features in “the next few months,” though the game will be updated in the future.

Forza Horizon 4 is currently available on Windows PC, Xbox One, Xbox Series S and Xbox Series X as part of Xbox Game Pass. Forza Horizon 5 heads to those same platforms on 9 November. We recently spoke to Playground Games’ Mike Brown about it here.
