Forza Horizon 4 Halo tie-in event confirmed at Gamescom

Forza Horizon 4‘s rumoured Halo tie-in event has been confirmed by developer Playground Games.

Playground’s Ralph Fulton is detailing the event behind-closed-doors at Gamescom, and we’ve got all the details for you here thanks to a preview from IGN.

The mission will indeed feature a bunch of Halo elements, with the legendary Master Chief kicking things off at Bamburgh Castle. Essentially a training mission, the Halo event will task you to race a Warthog against a Pelican, dodging Banshees and trying to get to the finish line before the Halo ring your on detonates.

Seems pretty standard for the adrenaline-filled Forza Horizon, eh?

The Halo ring sandbox is accompanied by Convenant fortifications on the ground alongside narration from (a non-rampant) Cortana herself.

Fulton also confirmed that the Halo in-game event is replayable as often as a racer would like.

Forza Horizon 4 heads to Windows PC and Xbox One on 2 October, part of the Xbox Game Pass and Xbox Play Anywhere programs. The Master Chief’s next real adventure is the recently announced Halo Infinite.
