Fable reboot shown off with narrator Richard Ayoade

No release window, though...

Playground Games’ Fable reboot was shown off today at the Xbox and Bethesda Game Showcase, and features none other than The IT Crowd‘s Richard Ayoade.

Introduced as a simple vegetable producer, Ayoade’s character acts as the narrator of the trailer.

In true Fable form, though, he’s much more than that. We’ll leave you to watch the trailer to discover just exactly what that means.

There’s no mistakening the classic British humour that Fable is already known for in this trailer; that’s been coupled with some truly beautiful graphics. The only downside to the trailer, really, is that Fable still seems a long ways off.

We’ll let you know as more about Fable is released. In the meantime, what did you think of the trailer?
