Evil Dead The Game gameplay coming at Summer Game Fest

Hail to the King, baby.

First-ever Evil Dead The Game gameplay will be shown off at Summer Game Fest, its developer and event organisers have confirmed.

First announced back at The Game Awards last yearEvil Dead is a co-op and PvP experience for multiple players. Think Dead by Daylight, but with a boomstick (though Ash and his boomstick are in that game too!).

While long-time protagonist Ash Williams will be playable in game, players can also choose to fill the shoes of his allies (or enemies!). Timed with the launch of the gameplay reveal, we’ve received our first look at Ash’s sister, Cheryl Williams (played by Ellen Sandweiss in both The Evil Dead and Ash vs Evil Dead).

It’s unclear when Evil Dead will take the spotlight at Summer Game Fest tomorrow, but we know the event kicks off from 4.00 am AEST on 11 June. We’ve got a listing of all E3 2021 and Summer Game Fest events in Aussie times here.

Evil Dead The Game heads to Windows PC, Xbox One, Xbox Series S & X, PS4 and PS5 sometime this year. We’ll have more on the title as it’s announced.
