EVGA will replace RTX 3090s broken by Amazon’s New World

Good news, everyone!

GPU manufacturer EVGA has confirmed that it will replace all RTX 3090s that were destroyed as a result of a closed beta for Amazon’s New World MMO.

“Yes, all failed 3090’s [sic] are being replaced,” an EVGA spokesperson has confirmed with PC Gamer.

The problems encountered by the GPU were a result of uncapped framerates in New World‘s menus. The situation has since been resolved thanks to a patch that places a cap inside menus.

If you are the owner of an EVGA GeForce RTX 3090 GTW3 GPU that’s been borked by the MMO, head over to EVA and open up an RMA ticket to begin the process of obtaining a replacement. There’s a special “New World” category as part of the process.

New World is planned for an August 2021 launch and is currently in closed beta on PC.
