EA hiring for open-world Star Wars game

EA is hiring for an open-world Star Wars game that is to be developed in British Columbia, Canada.

The role, a Lead Online Engineer, requires a developer to “lead a team to deliver online features for a Star Wars open-world project.” The lead will also be responsible to “ensure designs will maintain high-traffic services for multi-platform games.”

The role comes after EA shuttered Visceral Games, transferring its single-player Star Wars title to EA Vancouver and attempting to reform the project as one that becomes an open-world, online-focused title.

We’ll have more on the progress of this open-world Star Wars title as it becomes available.

EA recently overhauled Star Wars: Battlefront 2, balancing progression and removing Star Cards from purchasable crates.
