Double Fine has been acquired by Microsoft Game Studios

Double Fine is the latest studio to be acquired by Microsoft Game Studios, it was today revealed at the Microsoft Xbox E3 2019 press conference.

Tim Schafer, head of Double Fine, took to the conference stage with the announcement, telling Microsoft he and his team will do whatever it takes to please Microsoft… including developing for Excel.

Instead, it’s likely Double Fine will continue work on its next title, Psychonauts 2A new gameplay trailer for the game was today shown off, below.

Psychonauts 2 heads to Windows PC, Xbox One and PS4 later this year.
