Xbox Snap feature is isn’t coming back, says engineering lead

Let's pause to pour one out for the Xbox One's best launch feature.

Xbox Snap, a popular feature that launched with the Xbox One, is dead and dusted according to Xbox’s engineering lead Eden Marie.

Taking to Twitter, Marie said, “While we all miss snap, I don’t think it’s coming back” when asked about the feature’s possible return.

For those unaware, Xbox Snap basically functioned like a Windows multi-window experience, letting players position two apps on a screen at once. I had a great time playing a video game on one portion of the screen while watching an NHL hockey game on the other, as an example. Others used to snap Spotify or another music player to the screen to DJ as they played.

Microsoft removed snap from the Xbox One way back in February 2017.

Do you miss Xbox Snap? Why or why not?
