Xbox 360 Blades are back in time for Xbox’s 20th anniversary

'Member Blades?

Xbox 360 Blades are back, once again gracing the Xbox website in celebration of its 20th anniversary.

You can head over to the Xbox website now to take a look and reminisce.

For those unaware — or likely too young — the Blade system was arguably the Xbox 360’s best menu system. If nothing else, it certainly was the most memorable.

While it’s a cute little touch, the “Blades” aren’t animated; rather, they’re just overlays baked into an image carousel. It’s neat nonetheless.

The original Xbox (and Halo Combat Evolved alongside it) first launched on 15 November in the USA; Aussies will help celebrate with Microsoft and Bungie on 16 November.

If you’re in the mood to continue celebrating, you might be interested in a special 20th anniversary Xbox headset or controller.
