Diablo 4 Steam release has free trial, 40% discount

Blizzard really wants you to give it a go.

The Diablo 4 Steam release has a free trial and a 40% discount at the same time it’s also providing players with a 35% XP boost.

Coincidence? We doubt it, but who cares? It’s basically the perfect time to try out Diablo 4 on Steam, right?

A couple things on the free trial: character progression is capped at level 20, but you do get that 35% XP boost (plus more if you work it right). Progression will carry over into the main game proper if you decide to pull the trigger and buy the game.

While all content is available to players as part of the trial, that level 20 cap will hinder your progress; don’t expect to take on Uber Lilith for free.

We called Diablo 4 a “hellishly good time” in our review, and recently had the chance to talk the title’s launch with Blizzard’s Tiffany Wat and Adam Jackson.

Diablo 4 is now on Windows PC, Xbox One, Xbox Series S, Xbox Series X, PS4 and PS5; we reviewed it here.
