Destiny: “Rise of Iron” will still provide multiple paths to the new level cap

One of the best changes to Destiny with its latest update was the way in which the game’s level cap was relaxed. Once locked to Hard mode Raids, high-level gear was available in multiple ways, meaning PvP players and PvE players had a better chance of leveling up.

Speaking with VG24/7, Bungie’s Scott Taylor said the level progression system will remain as-is in Destiny’s upcoming “Rise of Iron” update.

“Well, I think we started that with ‘House of Wolves’, actually, as Trials of Osiris players are able to get to the end-game,” Taylor said, after asked if level progression would change. “The game’s a living game, and that was the first instance I remember of there being a PvP path, so you could get there if you didn’t raid. It seems to be that that’s something we’re playing with all the time. We’re not changing that. There are multiple paths. We’re thinking through the best way to serve the most players.”

“Rise of Iron” heads to Xbox One and PS4 on 20 September.
