Cyberpunk 2077 PS5, Xbox Series version coming Q1 2022

Remember Cyberpunk?

Both Cyberpunk 2077 and The Witcher 3 Wild Hunt will head to PS5 and Xbox Series S & X proper in the first half of 2022, CD Projekt Red has recently confirmed.

First, Cyberpunk 2077 is expected sometime in Q1 2022, followed closely after by The Witcher 3 sometime between April and June of next year. Both titles were previously expected in the latter half of 2021.

In better news for Cyberpunk fans who’ve finished the game’s storyline to date, 2077‘s first big expansion is also due at the same time as the current-gen upgrade.

Cyberpunk 2077 had a less than stellar launch, causing it to be removed from the PlayStation Store in December 2020. The game has received multiple patches and is far better for it, though we didn’t encounter too many game-breaking instances in our PC review last year.

The Witcher 3 Wild Hunt will be free on current-gen to those who already own it on last-gen consoles. The current-gen version will include its two major expansions alongside new Netflix Witcher content, enhancements like ray-tracing, speedier loading times and more.
