Canceled GoldenEye Xbox 360 remaster gameplay shows what could have been

This would have been great fun on XBLA.

Footage from a canceled GoldenEye HD remaster planned for Xbox Live Arcade (XBLA) is making the rounds, and we’ve got it to watch right here.

The footage is from an emulator and runs at 4K, 60FPS (frames-per-second). It’s also over two hours long, so sit back, kick up your feet and enjoy.

The title was planned for a 2007 release on Xbox 360 as part of the Xbox Live Arcade program, but wasn’t released as a result of licensing issues. According to GoldenEye content creator Graslu00, the gamepaly was captured in PartnerNet, a sandboxed version of Xbox Live playable on dev kits.

GoldenEye was released on the N64 back in 1997.
