Call of Duty Modern Warfare cross-saves being considered

Call of Duty Modern Warfare cross-saves are being considered by Infinity Ward, it was recently revealed.

While we know that this rebooted Modern Warfare will feature cross-play between Windows PC, Xbox One and PS4 — in fact, it’s being tested in upcoming betas — cross-saves (or cross-progression) hasn’t been confirmed as yet.

Taking to Twitter, Infinity Ward’s Joe Cecot said that the studio was “still figuring this out,” adding that there’s “more info to come in the future!”

Titles like Dauntless and Fortnite offer cross-saves, meaning players can continue progression of the same character across platforms like Windows PC, Xbox One, PS4 and Switch. Destiny 2 looks to be implementing cross-saves later this year.

We’ll keep you informed regarding Call of Duty Modern Warfare cross-saves as more information comes to light.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare heads to Windows PC, Xbox One and PS4 on 25 October. We previewed the multiplayer aspects of the game here.
