$1 AUD could get you 1 month Xbox Live & 1 Apex Legends character

Savvy players could net 1 month of Xbox Live Gold and 1 paid Apex Legends character for the low, low price of just $1 AUD.

Thanks to OzBargain, we’re now aware of a special promotion where those with an Xbox Live Silver account can purchase a month of Xbox Live Gold for just $1 AUD. As a bonus, the purchase will also come bundled with 1,000 Apex Legends Coins — enough to buy a paid character like Octane, Caustic or Mirage.

As the members of OzBargain mention, there are catches — first, existing Xbox Live members can’t redeem the special, and those who can are reminded the subscription will continue until cancelled, charging you at the normal rate after the first month.

That all considered, it’s not hard to create a secondary account, pay the $1 AUD for Xbox Live Gold in order to get the 1,000 Apex Coins, then use the bonus on your real account and cancel the secondary subscription so you’re not charged again. Got all that? Good.

You can redeem the deal here.

Apex Legends is available now on Windows PC, Xbox One and PS4. Xbox One bundles are currently coming with an Apex Legends Founder’s Pack as well.
