Android apps coming (fully integrated!) to Windows 11

It's time for TikTok.

Android apps are heading to Windows 11 and will be fully integrated with Microsoft’s new operating system.

“And I mean coming to Windows,” Microsoft’s Panos Panay said as part of this morning’s reveal. “They can be integrated into Start, they’ll be integrated in your taskbar.”

The apps will essentially function like any other found within the Microsoft Store.

“They’re discoverable through the Microsoft Store using the Amazon Appstore,” Panay continued. “We use Intel bridge technology to bring it to life so it’s seamless and smooth.”

The move means smartphone and tablet apps like TikTok, Android games and even things like Grindr or Tindr will now be available on your PC. How exciting!

Microsoft today unveiled Windows 11, saying the operating system will be rolled out to new PCs and existing ones with Windows 10 this holiday season.
