Activision Blizzard made $4 billion USD in revenue from “in-game net bookings” in 2017, the publisher announced in an earnings call today.
Said revenue is comprised of DLC sales, in-app purchases and loot boxes.
Industry analyst Daniel Ahmad points out that half of that figure, $2 billion USD, comes from King mobile games like Candy Crush.
It's worth noting that around $2 billion of that is indeed from King's mobile games such as Candy Crush.
But that still leaves another $2 billion from console and PC games add on content.

The other $2 billion USD is likely to have come from in-game purchases from titles like Overwatch, Heroes of the Storm and Hearthstone.
