A variety of game modes are missing from NHL 15’s EA Access trial

Despite earlier warnings that NHL 15 would be lacking EASHL and Online Team Play, Stevivor used its six hour EA Access trial to confirm that a number of other modes in the game are seemingly missing.

We’re not the only site that’s picked up on the gap. Most notably, Operation Sports led the charge, reporting that NHL 15 is missing GM Connected, Live the Life, Online Shootouts, Battle for the Cup, Be A Legend and EA Sports Arena modes alongside a wealth of customisation options.

This writer was most upset about a decided lack of Be A Pro player editing options and features. For the life of me, I couldn’t figure out how to start my player off in the WHL (go, Saskatoon Blades!) as in previous years.

A handy comparison chart listing game modes in NHL 14 on last-gen and NHL 15 on current-gen was also seemingly made by @FakeCGiroux, which you can see below.

It should be noted that these pieces of functionality are missing from the EA Access trial and may yet exist in the full retail version of the game.

Time will tell when NHL 15 becomes available from 9 September in NA and 11 September in Australia on Xbox 360, Xbox One, PS3 and PS4.

Update: Most of them are gone from the full retail game too. Patches will reintroduce content, like Online Team Play, back into the game.
