A new Xbox One controller is translucent too

A new Xbox One controller is getting on the translucent bandwagon.

The Phantom Black Special Edition sports a translucent black finish on the controller’s top half that turns to champagne gold at its bottom. The controller also sports a champagne gold d-pad, textured grips and black buttons.

Expect the Phantom Black Special Edition from 25 September in North America, and here in Australia from 9 October.

This isn’t the first translucent gaming peripheral we’ve seen lately; Sony recently announced translucent gear in the form of the 500 Million Limited Edition PS4 Pro 2TB bundle and matching DualShock 4 controller.

Microsoft’s special new inclusive controller — the Xbox Adaptive Controller — was recently previewed by Stevivor and is expected in September this year.
